I’ve been intensively using my iPhone 3G for 18 months now, carrying it in my pocket without protective case and scrolling A LOT in Safari, NetNewsWire and Instapaper. There is absolutely no scratch on the screen. Why did you buy a protective case?

Finally. I think the best RHCP album is Frusciante’s Shadows Collide With People. It’s entirely written and produced by John Fruciante who plays the guitar and also sings. RHCP’s Flea plays the bass, RHCP’s Chad Smith plays the drums and RHCP’s Anthony Kiedis is not involved.
